TEST AND TAGGING
Testing and tagging is a legal requirement for most businesses to certify the ongoing safety of portable electrical appliances. All our testing and tagging work is carried out by qualified electricians according to Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760 and the Queensland Electrical Safety Regulation 2013.
Testing requirements in Queensland vary depending on the type of appliance and the purpose for which it is used.

VISUAL INSPECTION
The first step in our testing and tagging process is a visual inspection of your portable appliances. Our technicians inspect each item to ensure there are no loose wires or other obvious electrical defects.
TESTING
If no obvious defects are identified through a visual inspection, our technicians conduct further testing to check the safe operation of your appliances. Using a Portable Appliance Tester (PAT), we perform a variety of tests that help us identify any electrical faults with the appliance.
TAGGING
If your appliance passes testing, we affix a tag certifying it is safe for use. The tag includes information such as the name of the testing officer, the date of the test, and the date of the next test. If your appliance fails testing, a DANGER tag is fitted. This shows the item is unsafe for use and includes information about the reasons why.
